As a Volunteer Advisor, Martial Dansereau has dedicated his time to several CESO initiatives, in the field or in support of our operations. With over 35 years of experience in the financial sector, Martial offers tremendous expertise in strategic and business planning. He has worked with Indigenous entrepreneurs and communities in Canada, as well as businesses and associations in Africa.
In one of his assignments, Martial supported the National Federation of Food Transformation Industries (FIAB) in Burkina Faso in revising their strategic plan and creating an action plan to improve participation rate, financial support and integration of regional offices. Martial worked with FIAB to identify and analyze the present situation and to make suitable recommendations. In assessing the project, Martial recommended stronger participation from the Board of Directors of the federation to become fiscally committed and involved in order to create a sense of responsibility to the success of the federation. It was an important observation that was adopted by the federation to improve their financial resources.
Today, Martial dedicates his time with CESO as an in-house VA, supporting the operations of the organization as a lead coordinator of the LVA program. He was also involved in a special project committee that supported the establishment of an inter-regional financial association in West Africa.
