CESO has partnered with several associations and cooperatives responsible for the development of the private sector through SMEs and agribusiness. Our work in Tanzania focuses on improving productivity and creating new employment opportunities, particularly for marginalized groups.
Empowering Women and Agribusiness Cooperatives
Working collaboratively the Tanzanian Federation of Cooperatives (TFC), CESO supports the development of economic opportunities for women and youth, particularly within the agribusiness sector. CESO worked with the Nronga Women’s Dairy Cooperative (NWDC) to strengthen productivity and sustainability in three main areas: technical agricultural and livestock practices; improvements in product quality and hygiene; and operational and processing efficiencies, resulting in a reported productivity increase of 64 per cent. The video below captures the impact the Cooperative has had in their community and beyond, and the important role women and cooperatives play in driving sustainable change.
