Go for the Goals this International Development Week 2022

CESO Communications January 26, 2022

February 6 to 12 is International Development Week—a time to celebrate Canadian contributions to eradicating poverty and building a more inclusive and prosperous world. This work has surmounted unprecedented challenges because of the pandemic, and it is more important than ever.

This year’s theme is Go for the Goals—the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals—that form a roadmap to a brighter future.

Here are a few examples of the ways Canadians shared their skills last year to Go for the Goals with CESO:

Providing training in project management for agricultural workers in Côte d’Ivoire as they access funds for equipment and increase food production.

Implementing gender mainstreaming with government ministries focused on natural resources in Mongolia, for a more just and sustainable society.

Empowering women owners of small hotels in Honduras to build resilient businesses through marketing and business development training.

Enhancing database management at the Crees Foundation in Peru to support conservation of the Peruvian Amazon.
