Country Representative, Ethiopia

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Country Representative (CR) will professionally steward the CESO brand and mission, and lead implementation of assigned CESO projects in alignment with local needs and donor priorities; effectively manage field staff and work proactively with other CESO resources to foster an environment of success for the country’s operations; enable effective and efficient advancement in gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and gender sensitive value chain objectives; proactively nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, stakeholders, CESO Advisors and other CESO staff; and contribute to the development of new programs in accordance with approved CESO policies and guidelines.

Jr. Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Jr. Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis; development of consolidated financial statements; acts as the lead Finance team member in preparation of project budgets and supports the Finance team in performing general accounting procedures and processes. This position is currently remote due to COVID-19, with the possibility of returning to the office in Toronto.

Volunteer Recruitment Officer (12-month contract)

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Volunteer Recruitment Officer (VRO) is responsible for proactively searching the CESO database and matching CESO Advisors (CAs) to a high volume of assignment requirements for our International program. The Volunteer Recruitment Officer will also support initiatives for roster development, including researching and engaging potential sources for new CAs. This position is currently remote, due to COVID-19. The successful candidate can be based in either the following provinces/territories: Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia & North-West Territories. Fluency in both French and English is required.

Jr. Communications and Engagement Officer with Graphic Design Experience (Contract)

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications and Engagement, the Jr. Communications and Engagement Officer (Jr. C&E Officer) is responsible for planning, developing and executing communications and marketing initiatives in support of the SUMM project and broader CESO objectives. The Jr. C&E Officer will play a key role in the development and implementation of the design of marketing materials, web redesign and overall branding strategy. The Jr. C&E Officer will also support the implementation of a variety of design projects and programs from conception through to execution. This position is currently remote, due to COVID-19, with the possibility of returning to the office in either Montreal or Toronto. This is a contract position for up to a year. Flexible / part-time hours could be considered.

Project and Finance Officer, Ethiopia

Reporting to the Country Representative (CR), the Project and Finance Officer (PFO) will contribute towards fulfilling CESO’s mission of strengthening economic and social well-being in the program country. The PO will support the CR’s role, and will develop and maintain effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, CESO Advisors (CAs) and CESO staff. He/she is responsible for providing overall programmatic and logistical support to design and implement activities in selected sectors, with the aim to advance CESO’s gender equality (GE) and women’s economic empowerment (WEE) objectives, in accordance with approved CESO policies and guidelines.

CCEDM Regional Representative 

Reporting to the Program Manager (PM), the Regional Representative (RR) will professionally steward the CESO brand and mission, and lead and coordinate implementation of the country programs in Guyana and Suriname as part of Canada-CARICOM Expert Deployment Mechanism (CCEDM) – a four-year (2021-2025) regional program, in alignment with local needs and donor priorities; effectively nurture local partnerships, and work proactively with other CESO resources to foster an environment of success for the CCEDM project operations; enable effective and efficient advancement in gender equality (GE) objectives; proactively nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, stakeholders, CESO Advisors (CAs), other consultants and CESO staff; and contribute to the development of new programs in accordance with approved CESO policies and guidelines. This is a part-time position as an independent contractor, for a person based in Guyana or Suriname.

CESO Strategic Advisor, Cacao Value Chain – Honduras (Volunteer Position)

The CESO Strategic Advisor (CSA) will support Program Managers (PMs) to develop, adapt and implement the Accelerating Women’s Empowerment (AWE) program strategy in the selected sector and value chain. With her/his experience in the select area(s) of focus, the CSA will work in close collaboration with the PM, the in-country teams, and CESO’s Gender Sensitive Value Chains (GSVC) Advisor to support analysis and explore strategic options with the aim to deliver impact. In line with AWE’s programmatic goals, she/he will support the development of strategic partnerships; design assignments; enable effective and efficient advancement in GE/WEE objectives; and proactively build the capacity of key stakeholders, including partners and CESO Advisors.
