Board Chair Chief Glenn Nolan Leads Leadership Workshops at Indigenous Women Leaders Conference in Guyana

CESO Communications February 5, 2020

Chief Glenn Nolan, Chair of CESO’s Board of Directors, along with Chief Anna Betty Achneepineskum were among visiting Canadian Chiefs who served as lead facilitators and speakers at an Indigenous Women Leaders Conference at the Grand Coastal Hotel in Guyana on Monday, February 3.

Facilitated by the Canadian High Commission in partnership with CESO and the National Toshaos Council, the two-day event brought together 36 Indigenous women from across Guyana to discuss issues of justice, build leadership skills and share experiences. The tools and teachings provided by Glenn and Anna Betty as well as other officials will help participants more effectively guide decision-making processes within Village Councils and confidently address challenges faced by the first peoples of Guyana.
