What motivates you to work or volunteer at CESO?
The opportunity to create international experiences and participate in raising the quality of life in developing countries by sharing my expertise for the benefit of other, more disadvantaged people.
What is your most memorable experience or memory of CESO?
Sharing a meal with villagers in the north of Burkina Faso, in an agricultural region that is very remote and surrounded by desert.
Economic development is important because…
It is the lever for the improvement of life conditions and the reduction of poverty in underdeveloped countries.
What advice would you give to other Volunteer Advisors?
Not to compare missions, because each one is unique. There are always pleasant surprises. Appreciate unique moments where one discovers other people and their personalities. Always take their life stories as a reference point for analyzing their situation. Trust the clients and partners, and show empathy towards them.
Would you like to add anything else?
The gratitude of those we train is our gift, and the sparks in their eyes are incredibly inspiring. They encourage us to volunteer again.
