What is your role or relationship with CESO?
How long have you been working or volunteering with CESO?
What motivates you to work or volunteer with CESO?
CESO is a great organization. Their leadership is exceptional and committed. They have a great support organization and they are serious about understanding the impact of what they do. They also have a large variety of projects across many countries and keep their volunteers involved.
What is your most remarkable experience or memory of CESO?
My first experience with CESO in La Paz, Bolivia, was amazing. I was struck with how committed the people were, how close they were to the citizens that they were serving and how serious they were in making the city a better place. It was also a very multicultural environment with a strong understanding and embracing of historical traditions.
Although my role was a small one, I felt that I made a contribution to the team that I was working with. The experience was so positive that I have returned as a Lead Volunteer Advisor to the same client group.
Economic development is important because…
It provides people with the tools to build better lives for themselves and their families.
What advice would you give other Volunteer Advisors?
You may have more to offer than you think. Keep an open mind and an open heart. Enjoy every moment of your experience.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
