CESO in 1977-78

1977 sees the beginning of CESO’s membership program. CESO collects annual membership fees from companies and businesses who are regular donors, thereby reducing CESO’s reliance on fundraising campaigns and enabling Canadian companies to definitively associate themselves with CESO’s global activities.

In 1977, CESO’s Montreal headquarters moves to a larger office to accommodate a staff of 23.

CESO’s assignments continued to diversify into areas such as manufacturing, engineering, agriculture, textiles, tourism, library procedures and photography.

In an interview with The Globe and Mail, President C.A. Peaches discusses the shift of recruitment focus from retirees to active middle management executives. He remarked, “We are getting more requests from business and government in the developing nations than we can fill from our roster of retired executives.”
