The client is a manufacturer of electrical accessories such as plug tops, lighting holders, ceiling fittings, conduit accessories, etc. It requires assistance to reorganize the factory as a single unit and to increase productivity.

What the VA is requested to do:

  • Advise on how to improve factory operations and plant layout taking into account time and motion principles
  • Advise on proper purchasing and inventory control
  • Advise on how to increase productivity as well as product development and diversification.

The client is a mining company that uses heap leach technology to recover gold and silver from stockpiled gold bearing secondary siliceous ore known as a quirtzite. The client has the equipment it needs to function, but its operators lack the training necessary to efficiently operate the existing machinery. The client would like the assistance of a VA to train the operators on how to operate the machinery more effectively in order to increase productivity.

What the VA is requested to do:

  • Train the operators on equipment operation (theory and practice)

The client does not have a plan in place for regular technical inspection of its equipment and experiences shortages of spare parts and lubricants. The client needs the assistance of a VA to help set up a technical maintenance unit.

What the VA is requested to do:

  • Assess the current condition of the machinery
  • Advise of regularity of technical maintenance
  • Assist in developing a technical maintenance assessment checklist
  • Advise on spare parts and lubricants
  • Assist with the set up of a technical maintenance unit and train the staff of the unit accordingly
  • Advise on worldwide suppliers of the machinery
