Bakers and Chefs needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of the layout of kitchen, bakery and showroom
• Assist in the development of efficient production processes including methods to reduce costs and minimize waste and damages
• Advise on menu and product presentation
• Increase staff skills with the introduction new methods, methodology and techniques
• Develop on the job training with emphasis on kitchen staff.
• Advise on the improvement of product recipes including the development of a diabetic desert and cake line
• Advise on methods to increase product shelf life for export market
• Assist in increasing operating efficiency including waste reduction and cost reduction
• Assist in the development of a production floor plan for a new operations centre
• Provide training to Department Heads and back up staff in machinery maintenance and efficiency.
• Advise bakery supervisors on appropriate bakery products
• Advise the setting up franchises
• Assist in the development of product sales and distribution plans

Key Skills:

• At least 15 years experience in baking
• Experience in managing a bakery, medium-sized and other
• Experience in setting up a bakery
• Expertise in production
• Able to work under time constraints and to work cross-culturally
• Expertise in pastry products and product development
• Experience in product sales and/or distribution
• Skilled in preparation of plans and reports
