What does CESO pay for?
CESO will pay for the following items:
- Flight costs to/from the country of assignment
- Any in-country travel related to the assignment (not including personal travel)
- Accommodation
- Food
- Stipend
- VISAs
- Health Insurance
- Vaccinations
Can I take my spouse/partner with me on assignment?
If the assignment is 45 days or longer from door-to-door, CESO will pay for your spouse/partner to accompany you only if the client is able to accommodate such a request.
What are the lengths of the assignments?
Assignments vary significantly in length. Generally, national assignments are from 2 days to 2 weeks and International assignments are from 2 weeks to maximum of 3 months.
Who manages travel arrangements?
CESO will coordinate travel arrangements from Canada to the country of the assignments and return. For overseas assignments, client is responsible for any in-country travel which is coordinated with CESO’s Country Representative.
Who do I contract if there are any problems?
CESO has a country representative in each country where we have international assignments. In Canada, the regional manager is your first point of contact.
What am I expected to do pre-, during and post-assignment?
Before going on assignment, there is usually an initial contact with the client to start to determine the client’s problems, needs and expectations of you. Also, it is beneficial to research the area that you will be staying for local customs and habits.
During the assignment, you will be expected to work with the client in transferring of knowledge and providing recommendations for areas of improvement as per the need of the client.
After the assignment, you are required to write two reports: for the client and CESO.
