Our Services & Contacts
Most often, assistance offered by CESO Volunteer Advisers (VAs) involves one-on-one or team mentoring by VAs visiting the recipients in Nunavut and by using telephone or E-mail to keep in touch. To date, clients have found it particularly useful to have help in the following areas:
- Management and operational skills such as managing personal time conducting effective meetings, setting priorities, delegating effectively, and clarifying work flow
- Confidence building
- Strategic and business planning
- Performance measurement and improvement
- Management of change
- Interpersonal and group communications
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Managing stress
Since June of 2001, CESO has done at least one assignment in most of Nunavut’s 10 departments, and also in a number of government agencies such as the Nunavut Housing Corporation, the Qulliq Energy Corporation, the Nunavut Business Credit Corporation and a number of hamlets. In addition, there may be several assignments with various non-governmental organizations in Nunavut, such as Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., which represents all the Inuit in Nunavut, the Nunavut Status of Women, and others.
CESO has a large roster of VAs who have developed solid managerial and operational skills through their careers in Government and Business. If you want to explore the possibilities what they could do for you, contact the CESO Nunavut Program Manager, Kathy Huges at ottawa@ceso-saco.com.
