AIDS 2006 – XVI International AIDS Conference

The world's premier gathering of stakeholders involved in the global response to HIV/AIDS. The International AIDS Conference theme "Time to Deliver" will focus AIDS 2006 on the promises and progress made to scale-up treatment, care and prevention. In every G8 capital city, activists will 'send off' their head of state with large yellow 'post-it' notes to remind them of their promises to make poverty history. The anniversary of the Live 8 concerts that rocked the world and put out a global call to make poverty history is just around the corner. On June 29th, campaigners and celebrities in G8 countries will be marking the anniversary of Live 8 and calling on world leaders to deliver on their promises. Join Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies, Mayor David Miller and Make Poverty History supporters on June 29 in Nathan Phillips Square at 10:30 AM. Wear white. Wear a white band.
