The Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) is a unique, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization founded in 1967. Its mission is to build capacity in governance and economic development through the transfer of knowledge and skills by Volunteer Advisers. Product Innovation Manager
SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Product Innovation Manager who will guide the identification and development of tools, materials and resources to strengthen CESO National Services programs and initiatives. This role will produce outputs that promote and support the effective delivery of capacity building services in governance and economic development, to Aboriginal clients and communities across the country.
This is a new 12- to 18-month contract opportunity, with potential for a short-term extension based on organizational needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and further develop existing products for greater uptake and impact.
- Research and develop new products that align with CESO National Services strategic directions.
- Form partnerships and develop new resources to respond to market opportunities.
- Oversee the development, production and dissemination of a range of products, seeking opportunities to promote CESO National Services and the broader organization.
- Preparation of presentations, reports and other communications as required.
- Work closely with the Operations Centre staff in Toronto and a decentralized team across Regional Offices, taking an interactive team approach.
- Develop and manage a work plan and corresponding budget for the scope of work for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated skills in strategic thinking, with the ability to respond to shorter-term needs while crafting a longer range strategy for product innovation.
- Demonstrated experience in creating innovative product and service solutions to improve practices in sectors relevant to CESO National Services.
- Knowledge of capacity building strategies and adult education methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading and working effectively with a decentralized team.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Excellent verbal communication and superior writing skills.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- Experience or knowledge of issues facing Aboriginal communities.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
