Wayne Gladstone is past-chair of CESO's board of directors, and is currently beginning his first year of his second term as a member of the board.
Mr. Gladstone's skills in corporate strategic planning, financial controls and reporting, risk management, and finance and technology systems were honed throughout his extensive career, which included a long tenure as senior vice-president of Finance and Administration at the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS). In this role, he was responsible for the financial and technological infrastructure of a global investment program with $33 billion in assets.
In 2003, Mr. Gladstone launched Gladstone Consulting Inc. to provide strategic counsel for corporate clients on financial operations and strategy. His expertise has been particularly useful to CESO's leadership in sharpening its focus on economic development for national and international clients.
In addition to his volunteer work with CESO, Mr. Gladstone serves on the boards of the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and the Central East Local Health Integration Network (CELHIN). For Canadian Blood Services, he is a board member, chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, and chair of its Insurance Subsidiary Board. Mr. Gladstone is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
