Purpose: Assist in training in chocolate production.

Fundacion Hondurena de Investigacion Agricola (FHIA) is a CESO partner. They provide technical and research services to farmers and agri-businesses. They request training in chocolate production for the local market. They require an expert who can train in artisanal chocolate production from the selection of raw material, to packaging of the product.

Productions and Operations
La Paz, Bolivia
Purpose: To provide technical advice and training to staff of a Mass Transit Project
Duration: 14 days
Assignment # 14085 BOL
The Mass Transport Project run by the Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz aka GAMLP requires the services of an advisor to train staff on issues related to the implementation and operation of public transport services and demand management, which includes programming and operation services; planning, scheduling and route management; and bus fleet management.
Expected immediate results for this assignment include:
- Recommendations and suggestions for commissioning and operation of public urban transport services.
- At least ten municipal officials of the program, trained on the issues of interest related to the operation of urban public transport services.
- Recommendations for operating manuals drafting, itinerary programming, fleet management, etc.
A Volunteer Advisor with experience in the following areas is ideal:
- Business management of urban public transport passengers (Operations Management).
- Commissioning and operation of public transport services and demand management.
- Programming of services, routes and bus fleet management.

Purpose: To assist a furniture manufacturing company with designing office chairs.

The client, a 20 year veteran of office and kitchen furniture manufacturing requires a VA with extensive knowledge of office chair design standards and experience in the manufacturing process - including machinery and materials relating to manufacturing of office chairs for transfer of knowledge.
Expected deliverables are:
- Three sets of office chairs designed
- Defined manufacturing process
- Recommendations for the factory layout.

Purpose: To advise a sportswear manufacturer on how to improve its processes
Duration: 21 days
Assignment # 14053 COL
A sportswear manufacturer and distributor is seeking a Volunteer Advisor with extensive experience and knowledge in production of apparel: module systems, sublimation and production software in order to identify gaps in their production processes and recommend how to increase their efficiency. The client is also interested in how their processes can be more environmentally friendly and what new printing techniques are available for for clothing.
The client's product line includes:
- Sporting uniforms
- Shin guards, balls
- Soccer shoes and bags (for the shoes)

A volunteer with an electric engineering background, specifically with extensive experience in electrical design, lighting, structured cabling and optics fibre is required to assist the client. The client designs, installs and maintains electrical nets, lighting, fibre optic cabling in addition to supplying, installing, and maintaining generators.
